After School Program Set for the FALL

Arts Playhouse is back for another year of after school offerings for elementary and middle school students here on the Blue Hill Peninsula.

We begin activities on September 13th. This fall we are celebrating the theme of the Wild, Wild West. Our activities will be the following:
Mondays: Crafts and Carpentry with Chris Muise
Tuesdays: Outdoor Wilderness Skills with Chris Muise
Wednesdays: Kids’ Kitchen with Hadley Friedman
Thursdays: Puppets and a Puppet Show with Amy Grant.

Cost of the program is $15/day for one child and $12/day for each additional sibling.

Super Hero School Success

Our Super Hero School Advanced Level students had an amazing time with Angela Bonacasa and Tiffany Laufer this past week. Not only did they learn the illusion of stage combat, they also learned how to film and edit to create movies.

“Food Rules” by Small Change

PMAL’s Small Change Theatre is working on another original script this summer. Under the co-direction of Amy Grant and Margot Newkirk, Small Change is up to some change in attitude about local access to food and the forces that play upon that access.

If you want to see what we’re up to, join us July 10, 17, and 24 at the Blue Hill Farmers’ Market at the Fairgrounds as we present the newly created vignettes each week. If you want to see the new piece in its entirety, check us out at the Blue Hill Town Park on August 1st at NOON! It’s a potluck, so bring some local food to share if you can. Otherwise, empty bellies are the next best thing!!!
